Luis is living his life on the edge. He is almost addicted to the feeling of the adrenaline pumping through his veins and it doesn't matter if he is hiding in the shadows of a Cuban forest, fiercely marching in the Pentagon, carefully making a bomb or attending an high-class salon in Rome, all that matters is the wonderful rush of excitment he feels. Blessed by fortune many times, Luis knows he can't let his guard down: the bigger you are, the harder you fall and any failure could sink him into the abyss.

Even in his dreams Ortolani can't help but thinking about the huge amount of money he is holding on behalf ot the Holy See, hidden in discreet Swiss banks or in Catholic financial institutes lead by ass-kissing puppet-businessmen. Ortolani isn't that different from those gold bars: he is just a tool of God and the Church, an useful instrument in the battle against Communism. Maybe one day his name will make history and he will be remembered for his righteous ideals, while his true reward will be forgotten: money, that he will humbly offer to the Lord when Judgement will come.

Teaser:
Dr. Buendia Olivarez used his knowledge and undoubted qualities as best he could, and got into DINA. Educated and polite, he could have aspired to something more, some would say, but what Fernando has always sought was peace, living with few troubles. Had he not been a doctor, he'd still have been a bad man, a bad father, or a bad husband. Knowing it, he did one good thing in his life, forsaking those who loved him, to safely operate without worrying about hurting someone. This might not be his most sought ambition, but certainly, in a world where terror reigns, is the easiest thing to pursue.
Relations:
Amalia de Villa Gonzales asked him to work in a clinic for the poor. He laughed at her: he’s too busy for such things. Doctor Romero is a colleague and former university classmate, but when you make different choices in life, you grow apart. Felix Cristobal has no critical sense and is unfit for the job, no matter how he keeps trying teaching him.
