“El pueblo”
“Tyranny cuts the head who sings, but the voice at the bottom of the well returns to the secret springs of earth, and from the darkness it will rise, from the mouth of the people” (Pablo Neruda)

Common people, men and women, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters.
They are the heart of a hidden resistance, silent, dramatic, and tragic.
They fight to protect their loved ones, their families, to find them and reunite them. They secretly collaborate with the resistance, endangering themselves and their families.
They are unjustly accused innocents, guilty of misrepresented or daring opinions, or simply victims of personal retaliation.
Everyone has a different story, but they are all united by a clandestine fight, in the name of their loved ones and freedom, or by the fear of the regime.

The people of el Pueblo will have a game centered on familiar drama, the change of everyday life, personal survival and survival of the loved ones.
THEMES: fear, family, security, betrayal

Teaser:

Adriana gave up herself into being a mother, a wife, a friend and a lover, an accomplice and a partner. She always did her best to satisfy Umberto and their daughter Marisol. She followed her husband to political meetings and took care of the child. Still, in Umberto’s eyes, she doesn’t see anymore the sweet love that once burned there, only dissatisfaction. And so Adriana feels she isn’t enough: not beautiful enough, or loyal to the cause, not enough motherly, firm and efficient. She’s unfit to a life, to a man, to a role. These failed expectations are a chain heavier than the holy vows binding and strangling her.

Relations:

Umberto Edgardo Mewes   is her husband, but things are not working between them. A few years back, nurse Maria Elena Soza   saved her husband’s leg after a work accident. Since then they are good friends. She admires deeply Michelle Bachelet   and would like to be so strong, passionate and fearless.
