Teaser:

Finnemore attempts to preserve traditions and push back against the ridicule that is modernity. The answer lies in the past, in the occult, in that which is secret. Certainly not in rock music or the study of contemporary art. The modern age is an age of intellectual decadence, and most people have lost what connected them to the magical and the divine. Finnemore fell in love with Devington with all their soul, because for centuries it remained a safe little corner of the world where students could be taught true values. Now, traces of outside life seep in. It must be stopped.
Strong-willed, fascinated by occult powers, invisible control, they consider themself the guardian of the knowledge of the ancients. Mystical and mysterious, at times frightening, certainly authoritative: they wish to mould minds and reality to restore the world to its proper form. In their youth, accompanied by some of their Devington friends, they devoted themself to the quest for power through stargazing and the study of star signs. Ever since then, Finnemore has never abandoned the childhood fantasy in which they are the incarnation of Atlas, and the stars are their daughters. They often indulge in fantasies that they would never admit aloud. They crave power and feel they need to demostrate they are worthy of wielding it.

Orbium caelestium

Those who look at the stars, look the right way. Members of the Orbium Caelestium wonder about the movement of the planets, the starry skies, and are guided by the suggestions of the zodiac, astronomy and astrology. They are said to be able to see the future, or at least that is what they strive to do: to know themselves and outline what is to come, probing into the complex workings of the cosmos. The Orbium does not only believe in Magic. The Orbium is magic. It shapes the world according to complex processes, which can be read in the stars or in ancient stories, in tarot cards or in unknown runes. For the members of this secret society, there is so much more than just Reality.
