Thurston has a complex family history. They are the offspring of a couple of Public University students who conceived them shortly after learning they were Donors and then, of course, had to abandon them. Adopted and raised by a loving Gifted couple, Thurston has been extraordinarily spoilt because of their circumstances.
Thier character is rather capricious and at times benevolently manipulative. They often uses their unfortunate birth to gain favours and pity. One cannot really say that they have lived a life of deprivation, but they often exploit their history to soften their interlocutors. They have a great talent for rolling their eyes and fluttering their eyelashes: they are definitely communicative and able to generate empathy in others.
They do not know what happened to their real parents, and in fact have no desire to find out at all: they love their life as it is now.

Les lumières

They are a secret society inspired by the myth of the cave, Plato, the Enlightenment, the Socratic method. Centred on the cult of reason, on investigation, on science, they subject themselves to tests and interrogations to get to knowledge, and to know themselves. They move in the darkness to come to see the light, and support themselves as a family in the process. They never lie. Lies and deception are not contemplated, to arrive at the Truth. They oppose all forms of mystification and, if they can, expose lies and deceptions.

Relations:

A. Bates   used their Pudding Club privileges to oppress you. It offended you a lot, even though these are Devington rules.
N. Cave   seems to care about you. They help you when they can, and they seem to want to know your story. You accept this willingly.
In your first moments at university you bonded a lot with J. Stonehouse   and M. Wilder  , creating a very promising trio, formed in the weeks before classes began. However, you and Wilder were chosen for the same secret society, and Stonehouse was not. This caused you to drift apart and, in time, even exchange minor hostilities.
