In the eyes of many, a slimy and sinister past rises from the shady glances of Prestan Swygert, who never showed any interest for the Watcher's cause...Or any other cause at all. He took the Black only to save his own life, and nobody knows what really drives his actions or what he wishes for the future. Prestan is sniffy, really good at protecting himself and surviving, and to anyone bringing up his mysterious past he answers with disregard that most of the Watchers escaped from the gallows and everyone deserves a second chance: let bygones be bygones. Who knows, maybe the snow will melt his secrets down.

Relations:

Prestan is no fool: although he hates pretty much anything surrounding him, he knows he could only save his ass if his fellows shall not tear each other's throats. Therefore he staunchly tries to ease the strife between Sir Finnegan  , a veteran who inexplicably treats him decently andAugust Glover  , the young leader that barely seems to know which way to turn. Sandor Rivers   seems to be scared by him, that's why Prestan gives him orders now and then. To his regret he is fascinated by Val  , who exerts on him a magnetism that Prestan can't explain.
