Time spent with Preston is reminiscent of being near family. Preston is protective and loving by nature, with an endearing, almost parental attitude. A psychologist by vocation, Preston teaches what they practice with the stated ambition to do good for young people. If there was anything to criticise Preston for, it would be that their kindness can sometimes border naivety. Their trust and genuine concern for the well-being of others means that they risk falling under the influence of those with less than charitable motives. Despite this, Preston is adored by students they mentor, and cares for the growth and education of these students - perhaps more so than any other member of faculty. Unfortunately, a curse seems to haunt Preston. Almost every student they mentor has ended up among the Donors. Like a gardener watching their flowers wither and die, Preston carries the burden of this knowledge with a heavy heart. This vulnerability disappears, however, when Preston teaches their subject in class. The slightly clumsy and awkward demeanour is all but replaced by the passion of a Socratic tutor, fervently inspiring wisdom in young, developing minds. Undeterred by the misfortunes of their past students, Preston maintains a steadfast belief in the magical power and influence of good deeds.

Members of the Orbium Caelestium wonder about the movement of the planets, the starry skies, and are guided by the suggestions of the zodiac, astronomy and astrology. They are said to be able to see the future, or at least that is what they strive to do: to know themselves and outline what is to come, probing into the complex workings of the cosmos. The Orbium does not only believe in Magic. The Orbium is magic. It shapes the world according to complex processes, which can be read in the stars or in ancient stories, in tarot cards or in unknown runes. For the members of this secret society, there is so much more than just Reality.
