Teaser:

Throughout life, Sullivan has venerated old traditions, meritocracy and wealthy family lineages. In short, the culture in which they were born and molded. Never squandering an ounce of their privilege, it was obvious that Sullivan’s talent could take them anywhere they wanted to go. Following the nudges of their mentor and family, Sullivan put aside rebellions of youth, their desires to explore the world and to see its magnificent diversity. Instead, Sullivan became a teacher at Devington. The youthful curiosity stood aside as they devoted everything to the university, quickly becoming an unshakeable pillar, almost merging with the architecture of the institution itself. Sullivan invested their entire inheritance - a vast fortune by any standards - into Devington, thereby becoming one of the university’s largest contributors. After years of service, however, Sullivan is beginning to doubt whether they abandoned prematurely those passionate experiences of their youth. Perhaps this pursuit of academic greatness has resulted in a life scarcely lived? But alas, there is no turning back now, no breaking down, no admitting that they might have been mistaken. Cowardice is simply not allowed, even as the walls of Devington threaten to suffocate what remains of Sullivan’s individuality.

Pudding club

Blood matters. And it matters more than ever. Only scions of the best families can join the Pudding Club. This ancient club brings together the elite, the young scions of noble birth, and has always welcomed the descendants of Cavendish himself. The name of the club originated in the early years after the founding of the University, when the food in the dining hall was not very satisfactory, and wealthy students had their lunch delivered from the village pub. Specifically, pudding. Times have changed since then, but the custom has remained. Members of the Pudding Club still retain many privileges, including being the first to help themselves at the table with the famous dish that gives them their name.

Relations:

You are among the sponsors of Devington along with the parents of M. Cavendish   and S. Cavendish   and the father of Saint-John Talbot  . Saint-John Talbot refused the invitation to the Pudding Club. This doesn't happen often.
You have an ambivalent relationship with C. Coltman  . On the one hand you are aware of their terrible fate, on the other you feel a shadow of envy. The fact that they know how little time they have made Coltman never deny themself anything in life.
You particularly bonded with B. Walters  .
You often clash with R. Mace  , but they have recently spoken to you at great length and in an almost obsessive manner about certain matters. They have left you with several doubts and suspicions.
