Villa Grimaldi personnel
“Not a single leaf moves in this country, without me knowing it” (A. Pinochet)
“Exterminated like rats” (La Segunda, regime-aligned newspaper)

Villa Grimaldi personnel are the civilians that follow the officials of the regime: handymen, fixers, secretaries, employees. They are the ears that hear everything, and the eyes that see everything. They are in a privileged, safe position, subordinate to the military. They are silent witnesses to the atrocities of the regime, if not active accomplices. They embraced the authoritarian regime, and are part of it, out of idealism or convenience, and thanks to their status and independence are free to roam, always on the edge, risking that their connections or choices turn them into opposers in the eyes of the regime.
The gameplay of the personnel will feature convenience and espionage, ambition, fear to be exposed, and the tragic acts they will witness or even participate to.
THEMES: opportunism, loyalty, betrayal, compassion.

Teaser:

The naked prisoner shackled to the metal frame, the electricity flowing from the picana to the body, the limbs flailing disorderly, the muscles contracting, the ligaments and the bones breaking like paper from an old wind-torn newspaper. The screams of agony and finally the names of the comrades uttered among the grinding of teeth. How many times such a scene has been witnessed by Felix Buendia, the former factory worker assigned to the dread room, to daily look after those implements of pain that he knows so well, bound by the chains of his own private Hell.

Relations:

He used to read Marcia Scantelbury   articles and even met her. Doctor Fernando Buendia Olivarez   is a professional even if sometimes reprises him too harshly; it’s not always his fault! Since working in Villa Grimaldi he’s met Rosa Humilde Ramos  : beneath that strong facade there is a gentle and sweet flower.
